Often the Driver version numbers only really match the version of windows 10 it was installed with.
I may not be able to tell what driver version it really is. I would have to figure out what the driver names are for the intel installers and then ask you to look for them on your PC, I don't have an Intel CPU so I don't have them on my PC to figure out driver namesĪnd that is based on Microsoft not changing the version numbers of the drivers themselves, which they do. I am not sure why the windows update didn't change the version number, if I had to figure out which version is actually installed, you would need to look through Microsoft drivers - Driver view is useful for looking at non windows drivers but you can use it to look at the Microsoft drivers as well I would run the intel updater as it will at least check you are on newest. When you run it, go into view tab and set it to hide all Microsoft drivers, will make list shorter.ģrd paragraph is there as most times you don't need to worry about WIndows drivers, the drivers that fall behind are all the rest that windows doesn't own. There will come a time when they stop updating drivers and if you want to get newer ones, you have to look yourself. It is normally a good idea to get drivers from laptop maker but you can't do that forever.
